Google Ads · Final URL suffix
Northbeam → Google Ads tracking template
Northbeam uses a packed nbt= parameter in Google Ads Final URL suffix (not Tracking template).
Pairing with a redirect tracker? Keep Northbeam in the suffix and put the redirect in Tracking template — see the redirect + Northbeam recipe.
nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3A{network}%3A{campaignid}%3A{adgroupid}%3A{creative}
How to install
- Open Google Ads → Admin → Account settings → Tracking.
- Paste into Final URL suffix (not Tracking template).
- Save, then verify a click URL contains your parameters.
Why Final URL suffix
Northbeam documents this as a suffix so it can sit next to UTMs and redirect trackers without replacing the Tracking template field.
With a redirect tracker
Use redirect + Northbeam for the dual-field setup.

FAQ
Where do I paste the Northbeam → Google Ads template?
Paste into the Final URL suffix field in Google Ads account tracking settings.
Will this break my landing page URL?
Templates that start with {lpurl} or include u={lpurl} / url={lpurl} preserve your final URL. On Meta/TikTok/LinkedIn, you append macros to the destination URL directly. Always click-test after saving.
Where are the Google Ads macros documented?
See the Google Ads parameter reference on this site.
